What is a Contested Divorce?
A contested divorce is one in which you and your spouse, for whatever reasons, feel that you should each be represented by separate attorneys. It is quite possible to settle a contested divorce through negotiations through the attorneys. The only involvement of the Courts would be when the final settlement is approved and the divorce granted by a Judge.
